Description
Once a child presents with sensory processing challenges, most parents need information and education to support their children. We created a package of resources that will educate and empower parents to understand SPD with many tips to help their children.
Sensory Processing Disorder is a complex condition that affects most areas of life. One should identify the individual differences of each person and choose effective strategies for each individual. The term ‘the child is sensory’ does not mean much and cannot help an individual child.
Individualized support includes sensory sensitivities, over-and under-reactions, motor skills issues, difficulty with planning and organization. You will need professional support and intervention. However, this package will help you to understand the interventions and your child. It will help to create a positive trajectory for your child.
Why Does it Work?
The lecture will educate you to understand Sensory Processing Disorder with practical and easy examples and ideas to help you. The recorded ‘lecture’ includes a workbook to individualize strategies and assist you in implementation.
The checklist will help you to identify specific issues experienced by your child. The resources include activities, games and articles to use after you have listened to the lecture and have an understanding of your child’s issues.
A printable poster and journal will enhance the implementation of strategies. Lastly, an e-book, Stories of Hope, tells stories of successes in children of various ages after sensory-motor skills issues were addressed and solved. These are true stories from Marga’s consulting rooms.
